Kathryn, is a brand savant with a background in public relations and launching initiatives in art and fashion. She creates powerful brand cultures that drive sales and visibility. In advance of initiating on a project she works closely with a potential client to analyze and determine goals and horizons. Following that they create a timeline and set up activities to arrive there. Working with individual artists/designers and companies her work uses public relations, communications, events and launches. As a creative director and principal she developed a consummate understanding and expertise working in emerging horizons launching original creative strategies for iconic brands in fashion, art and design. Early on she was recognized for her talent and skills seamlessly marrying original creative concepts with business trends in provocative fresh ways.
Kathryn began her career by launching two signature collections, and was immediately recognized by the fashion press and retailers as a new talent. Selling to Barney's Bergdorf Goodman, Bendels and with windows and editorials in NY Times, W, Chicago Tribune, LA Times, Avenue, Womens Wear, Harpers Bazaar Italia, Vogue, Mode et Mode, among other media--by the time she found her remarkable agents they asked what they could do for her-since her client list already included the most sought after savvy retailers and personalities.
Consulting or working on projects as the creative director or senior designer for Geoffrey Beene for Madame Hermes, Nicole Miller, Tahari, among others she realized her successes were created by correctly identifying and anticipating trends, analysing customer market trends, and understanding strategies how to impliement creative strategies and collaborations.
Drawn into the art world by her first clients, gallerist/dealer/collector Kenny Schachter, to do PR, and Kevin Bruk, gallerist/dealer, she opened the first of the contemporary galleries in the Miami Design District, Kevin Bruk Gallery--working in public relations, communications, producing events as well as developing the creative strategies that would introduce Kevin as the 'go to' person to curate and broker art as a private curator, while generating the income to underwrite the gallery with the architects and designers in Miami--that is the backstory that led to Kathryn Simon Creative --focusing on clients and projects where original creative strategies create individual strong brand cultures that translate into sales/revenue and visibility in highly competitive areas of art and fashion. Her clients tend to be monikers of taste, hip and cool, seeking ways to expand both sales and visibility within markets worth penetrating.
